The Kawasaki KLR 650 has maintained a loyal cult like following over many years and variations.
Below are the aftermarket parts with links that have been installed.

Mechanical History

03.15.16 – New bike off the floor.
Through 2016 – Aftermarket parts, regular oil and air filter changes, several tire changes.
08.10.16 – Replaced misc. nuts & bolts missing (it’s a thumper)
09.20.16 – Replaced more misc. nuts & bolts, lower chain guard & guide.
10.25.16 – Started noticing oil burn at higher RPMs
12.03.16 – Installed 16T counter shaft sprocket for Baja adventure.
01.20.17 – Rear tube replaced (nail)
03.03.17 – Return from Baja, averaged 1qt of oil every 300 miles.
04.25.17 – *Complete top end replaced at 9600 miles – sleeve, piston, valves, rings, etc.
(also installed: balancer kit, thermo-bob, chain & rear sprocket, exhaust, jet kit and head light)
06.XX.17 – 500 mile oil change after *rebuild.
